A very original game. You control a little man who can make rainbows and you go through level after level collecting berries and fruits. The enemies in the game are all kinds of insects (ladybirds, caterpillars, bees), toys (robots, cars, guns) and so on. With the help of rainbows, the little man can block the movement of enemies, destroy them, turn them into berries and create a ladder to climb up. The levels in the game are very colourful and have pleasant children's background music. The player progresses from bottom to top, climbing higher and higher. The difficulty level is low at the beginning of the game, but then increases.

A classic third-person scrolling shooter. Our glorious fighter must destroy all the enemy planes operating in his territory. The game is famous for its arcade machines. It is also worth getting to know the Sega version of the game, which is much nicer and more dynamic.

The Famicom version by Sunsoft is considered better than the American version by Tengen. Sunsoft removed the flickering, improved the music and changed the color palette.

Based on the film of the same name. Choice of 6 characters. The game is made in the style of an action game, where you have to kill all kinds of zombies and save people from this evil. In general, the game is quite well made.

Legendary game starring Mario and Danky Kong. This arcade game was very popular in its time on this console.

Transformer in Space, so it's clear why. The only thing unusual in this genre is the damage meter. Which is nice. You can also transform from a robot into a plane and something in between a robot and a plane.

Dragon Warrior series of role-playing games. The story revolves around several characters, spans five chapters, and then combines the entire plot into a single narrative. Each character has their own story and goals in this world. The King's Knight searches for missing children and learns that the monsters who kidnapped them are looking for a legendary hero. A warrior princess defeats everyone in a tournament, but when she returns home, she discovers that all the jewels are missing. An arms dealer goes in search of a legendary weapon. Sisters search for a legendary hero to avenge their father's death. And finally, the legendary hero who can fulfil a prophecy joins forces with other characters to save the world from the forces of evil.

Car simulator. Has quite nice graphics. The player has to complete the track in a limited time. You will be hampered by cars that are too slow on the track and are constantly getting stuck under your feet. In the game there are bends, climbs and descents. The sound of the engine is reminiscent of a washing machine. The car has an automatic gearbox, so all the player has to do is constantly press the accelerator and a bit of the brake (in the corners).

Your heroine is a maiden (though it's hard to believe she's the goddess Athena, so it's probably just a coincidence) who walks forward and kicks enemies. At the beginning of the game, she only kicks, and then defeated enemies leave behind a variety of weapons for the heroine to use.

Summer sports. The set includes: skateboarding, bike slalom, running, windsurfing.

Almost turn-based, Japanese soccer game. The game is also known as Tecmo Cup - Soccer Game. An unusual soccer game with an equally unusual viewing angle. When you have the ball, you can choose in the menu action: pass, beat the opponent or hit the goal. Quite a peculiar sports simulator.

A car simulator is presented to you. Beautiful, detailed graphics, pleasant engine sounds, that's what Exciting Rally is. It is a distant ancestor of Colin McRae Rally. Viewed from above, the car is well drawn (and above all realistic). The only drawback is the small view, the map is badly rendered. Same thing: Exciting Rally - World Rally Championship

This game was never officially released. We only saw it on cartridges thanks to pirates. We control a time traveller who fights enemies and rescues his relatives in different eras. The gameplay is reminiscent of Ninja Gaiden and Vice - Project Doom. The scenery corresponds to the era we are travelling through: mines of the past, megalopolis of the present, fantastic spaceport of the future.... Enemies are fought hand-to-hand; after defeating the boss of a rescued relative, we get special weapons that need to be replenished from time to time. A fairly decent representative of its genre, with good graphics and a decent atmosphere.

In a fairytale kingdom, a villain has bewitched the prince and turned him into a frog. Our hero - a bearded gnome with a hammer - must collect the ingredients for a potion that will help the prince become human again. Unlike the first part of the game (a single-screen arcade), the second part is a full-fledged platformer. We move through colourful levels, hitting enemies with a hammer. You can pick up the stunned monster and hurl it at another enemy or into the wall, picking up useful prizes in the process. There are puzzles in the levels, sometimes not obvious at all. The game was only released in Japan, in our country it was known as Chinese hack Super Mario 8. Very cool graphics and interesting stage structure. The last level with the clock is very memorable.

The game is a car simulator where you drive against a computer or live opponent. The screen is split in half. There are also cars and motorbikes on the track that try to block your path, which often leads to accidents. The cars have manual gearboxes, so it's a bit cramped at first. The camera is from the back of the car from above. There are no fancy graphics in the game, and the sound and music are standard for this type of game.

The third part has a lot of content and possibilities. But some of them are useless - the world of the game feels less integrated than in the second part. However, they have introduced such an interesting feature as day and night change, which changes NPCs in towns and enemies outside. There are now up to four heroes in the party. However, apart from the leader, they are now generated dummies, which is a step backwards in terms of character development. You can, however, assign and change their classes. In general, it's the same fairytale Dragon Quest about good fighting evil, so which part you prefer is up to you. There is an improved version of this game on the SNES.

An offshoot of the Dragon Slayer series, more specifically a storyline addition to the second part of Dragon Slayer II: Xanadu. The gameplay can be compared to Zelda II - The Adventure of Link and the Castlevania series. Don't look now, but at first you might think it's a contrived RPG, but when it turns into an incredibly atmospheric platformer, you'll forget all about it. The art design in this game is top notch - the medievalism is everywhere. One of the most underrated projects on the platform.

A fun game about the adventures of Garfield the cat. The cat has one week to free another of his owner's favourites - the dog - from captivity. The plot is good, the graphics are good, but unfortunately the colours are poor.

Have you ever seen a programme on TV called Gladiatorial Combat? Here it is, right in front of you. You will have to fight on poles, climb a steep wall, swing on a rope, knock down your opponent, throw balls into baskets (which you will try to prevent, of course) and, most realistically, capture the flag. Very exciting.
