A Capcom game based on the arcade hit Rolling Thunder. An action game in which we play as a secret service agent on a mission to uncover drug traffickers entrenched in South America. Unlike Contra and similar games, it is not based on combat, but on tactics. You have to move around the level carefully, shooting enemies with care. Ammo is limited, so you need to aim well. Criminals like to jump on your head from the top "floor", so jump up yourself without waiting for them. There are many hidden doors on the stages. Walking through them will give you ammunition, prisoners and a contact, without which you cannot complete the level. You can also hide from enemies behind the doors. Not an easy game, but addictive.

One of the simplest action games on the NES. A tiny ninja runs around a monotonous location (from right to left, for some reason), beating up similarly tiny enemies that pop up everywhere. The locations are so long that they seem endless. But in fact it is still possible to run to the end of the level. And if you don't die from enemy contact, you'll find that the game is very short, you can complete it in fifteen minutes. And once you've done it... that's right, the game starts again. It's that kind of eight-bit action.

A sequel to the famous Japanese role-playing game. This time, more emphasis has been placed on the story, which tells of the confrontation with the irrepressible ambitions of the evil Empire. Now it is not a series of individual quests, but a simple but holistic dramatic narrative. The main group will be periodically joined by so-called "guest" characters. From now on, the heroes will use each of their abilities separately in battles. Even an archer can become a tough warrior, and with a certain skill each character can become a universal, capable of both magical and physical attacks. The graphics have grown a bit since the first game.

The famous RPG on the NES. Hurrah! Anyone who shouted "hurray" too loudly was shot with fireballs. Everything is the same as on the staff: earn monsters, fight with experience (or vice versa), find uniforms and weapons. The graphics are excellent, and the sound is not bad either, despite being of the same type.

Arcade game by Technos. In the game you choose a runner and race against the computer. The participants can fight, pick up and throw various objects at each other, of which there are many on the track.

A game about the famous Marvel Comics vigilante. Our hero, the Punisher, has decided to take revenge by wiping out the criminal element. The graphics are tolerable, music is absent in most scenes, replaced by the sound of whistling bullets. Gameplay is presented as follows: third-person view, the screen scrolls from left to right. You must shoot infantrymen, dodging enemy bullets from the side if necessary. From time to time helicopters and other military equipment appear. Bonuses - lives, ammunition - often fall from the sky. Quite an entertaining game with reasonable difficulty.

A port of an interesting arcade game by Data East about two cave heroes who have to rescue kidnapped ladies. The port is not as intense as the 16-bit versions: the levels are simpler and there are fewer of them, and the rescued ladies don't thank the heroes. If you want to familiarise yourself with the game, you should also check out the SNES and Genesis ports, or the original on arcade machines.

A very exciting platformer released by Konami in 1986, based on the film of the same name. The young hero Mikey must rescue his friends from captivity, first by wandering through an abandoned restaurant and then through caves. He is hindered by big mice and villains - the greedy Fratelli brothers. His enemies need to be kicked. The mice don't last long, but the brothers can only be stunned for a while. Bombs fall from the mice. Use the bombs to free your friends by placing explosives under the door. You can also find useful prizes and exit keys in the doors. As well as the enemies, there are plenty of other obstacles around, so be careful. The whole process is so entertaining that the time will fly by unnoticed.

Arcade game for one or two players. You choose a jeep or a helicopter and you're off to "destroy the bastards". The helicopter can fly (which is not very weird) and shoot. The jeep can jump (which is weird) and shoot. The enemies are different helicopters and tanks. Graphics and sound are normal.

The weapons are numbered from 1 to 5, and if you pick up weapons of the same number often, they become more powerful. You can change the speed of your ship by pressing Select. The game has four difficulty modes: from a nice thrill ride (in the first and second modes) to a hot bath and hell (in the third and fourth modes).

One of the best Olympics on the NES. High quality and fun Olympics. Thanks to the efforts of the developers, you can feel the spirit of competition - and that is the main feature of the Olympics. We have 18 disciplines, many of which are not found in similar games: lifting weights, jumping over a horse, hammer throwing, etc. The graphics and the music are impressive. The characters are well drawn. It is true that there is a small choice of countries to play for. The game allows eight people to play at the same time (one at a time). On the downside, there are high minimum scores for passing, and it is better not to look at the world records at all.

Another space arcade game with left to right and top to bottom movement. The main character is a cosmonaut in a space suit. Blue creatures that die leave prizes. Part of the levels are in side view, the other part in top view, scrolling from top to bottom. Great scary half-screen bosses, gorgeous interesting levels and infinite credits just add to the passing of this wonderful game.

Training that improves strength, endurance and reaction, a multi-stage championship mode and the ability to play together. The game's arsenal includes about 10 different punches. Good graphics and detailed animation (the movements of the fighters are on a par with those in Prince of Persia) together with a really sporty gameplay mechanic make this fighting simulator a real hit.
