Golden Axe

- • Genre: beat 'em up
- • Players: 2 (coop)
- • Developer: Team Shinobi
- • Year of release: 1989 • Release Type: Released
Golden Axe is a beat 'em up game developed by Sega and released in 1989 for the Sega System 16 arcade machine. The Mega Drive version has differences from the original: some levels were shortened, but a final level was added featuring another boss, Death Bringer, who is a repainted version of the main villain, Death Adder. The game's style is heavily inspired by the Conan the Barbarian films.
The story takes place in the fictional land of Yuria, where a villain known as Death Adder has kidnapped the king and his daughter, holding them captive in his castle. Furthermore, he has stolen the "Golden Axe"—the magical emblem of Yuria—and threatens to destroy it if the people do not accept him as their ruler. The player's task is to travel to Death Adder's castle, stop him, rescue the captives, and recover the axe.
Three characters to choose from:
Ax-Battler - A barbarian seeking revenge on Death Adder for the murder of his mother.
Gilius-Thunderhead - A dwarf whose twin brother was killed by Death Adder's soldiers.
Tyris-Flare - An amazon whose parents were also killed by Death Adder.
The gameplay is a classic beat 'em up for one or two players. Three actions are available: attack, jump, and magic. Characters can run and perform a dashing attack, as well as a special attack (B+C button combination). The jump attack is particularly effective. Using magic damages all enemies on the screen. The magic supply is displayed as a meter at the top of the screen, and when activated, the character uses their entire accumulated stock at once. Magic can be replenished by attacking small, blue-clad thieves. The game is also notable for the ability to fight while riding on mounts.

Golden Axe II
 (Beta)_009.png)
- • Genre: adventure, beat 'em up
- • Players: 2 (coop)
- • Developer: Sega Enterprises
- • Year of release: 1992 • Release Type: Released
The second installment in the series is not an arcade port but an exclusive game developed specifically for the Mega Drive. It once again features the main heroes Ax-Battler, Tyris-Flare, and Gilius-Thunderhead, and the gameplay largely follows the formula of the first game.
Three years after the victory over Death Adder, the land of Yuria is once again in peril. The evil emperor Dark Guld has stolen the Golden Axe and used its power to raise an army of demons to conquer the world. The heroes must once again set out on a quest to stop this evil.
A key change in gameplay affected the magic system: now, instead of using the entire accumulated supply at once, players can control the power of the spell by holding down the magic button.

Golden Axe III
 [!]_023.png)
- • Genre: action, adventure, beat 'em up
- • Players: 2 (coop)
- • Developer: Sega Enterprises
- • Year of release: 1993 • Release Type: Released
Many years have passed since the events of the previous games. Ax-Battler and Tyris-Flare have long since passed away. Gilius-Thunderhead, the only surviving hero, loses the Golden Axe in a storm while attempting to return it to the gods. He awakens on an unfamiliar continent and discovers that the Prince of Darkness, Damud Hellstrike, has taken the axe, captured the local rulers, and cursed all the warriors. Gilius lifts the curse from one of the heroes, tasking them with freeing the others, defeating the villain, and recovering the Golden Axe.
New heroes to choose from:
Kain Grinder – A mercenary resembling Ax-Battler, who excels with a sword.
Sarah Barn – A swordswoman reminiscent of Tyris-Flare.
Chronos "Evil" Lait – A humanoid black panther.
Proud Cragger – A giant possessing incredible strength.
In this new installment, the graphics are significantly improved, and the gameplay introduces non-linear routes (branching paths) that affect the ending. Extra lives can be obtained by freeing prisoners. The ability to use powerful team-up magic has been added. The moveset has been expanded, and characters now have unique super attacks performed with complex button combinations.

In general, in principle, not bad boxing, there is a choice of fighters from the real existing different blows and positions for them. There is a distribution of blows on the body, that is, there is a difference - or you in it will be hit with all the swing, or on the body. And the graphics themselves seem to be nothing.
