Genesis emulation is not inferior to Gens, and Sega CD and 32x emulation is simply unparalleled. It has all the standard settings, there is support for video filters (using Render Plugins, put the Plugins folder in the folder with the emulator).

Regen is an accuracy-oriented emulator that can emulate Sega Mega Drive / Genesis / Game Gear / Master System with a very high degree of accuracy. To get the sound as close to the original as possible, use the option: Sound->SuperHQ.

BizHawk is an open-source multi-system emulator. It uses emulator cores from the Libretro project (RetroArch). Emulator byuu is a project from the developer of bsnes and higan emulators, which combines the friendly interface of the former and the multi-system (with emphasis on accuracy) of the latter. List of emulated platforms: NES, SNES, SG-1000, Master System, Game Gear, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, SuperGrafx, MSX, MSX2, Game Boy (Color), Game Boy Advance, WonderSwan (Color), Pocket Challenge V2, Neo Geo Pocket (Color). Was merged back with higan evolving into the ares project.

DGen is one of the oldest emulators of Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. The original version of the emulator with GUI is unfortunately abandoned since 2000, but the SDL port of the emulator continues to live and develop, thanks to which it was ported to many platforms. The current version of the emulator does not have a GUI, it requires a command line startup and vi-style control.

Sega Genesis/Megadrive emulator for Windows (64-bit only). Not suitable for the game, use other emulators.

Legendary, in its time, the best emulator Sega Genesis, also supports 32x, Sega CD. Excellent compatibility, almost all games work, but there are non-critical problems with the accuracy of sound. Has a lot of settings, support for joysticks, frame skipping, Game Genie, saves, recording sound in wav or gym, there is support for Kaillera. There are graphic filters. It has excellent speed (partially written in asm).

Gens Plus! is a Sega Genesis / 32X / SegaCD / Master System / Game Gear emulator based on the Gens emulator with additional features.

Gens32 is based on Gens 2.12 and Gens+ sources. Its main difference from usual gens is that it works in 32x-bit color. Besides all this supports force feedback, "language translate system", can load roms in *.tif format (converter to this format is attached), has a lot of interesting filters, Kaillera support and many other tasty things... Supports loading of large ROMs (13MB).

Good Sega Genesis emulator. The main feature is the ability to overclock the Genesis processor (68000 clock).
