• Many people have been asking about the status of my earlier projects/drivers, especially the Seibu SPI driver. To answer this question and many more, I have added a Project Status/TODO page to this site.
  
• In the other news, many more Model 3 Step 2.x games have been starting to work. Virtua Striker 2 (Step 2.0), '98 (Step 2.0), '99 and '99.1 all seem to work properly. Dirt Devils shows the attract mode, but like Virtual On 2, doesn't have working controls.

  • Currently being worked on.
    
    
• Seibu SPI driver
  • Graphics decryption not complete. It tends to become increasingly more difficult the closer to perfect it gets. Sprite encryption is much more complex than the BG encryption. I have some ideas how to proceed and I'll probably continue this later this year.
  • Sprite priorities are not correct. This can probably wait until the sprites are decrypted.
  • Sprite/background translucency effect not implemented. Again this can be looked when the graphics is properly decrypted.
  • Flash ROM update doesn't work.
  • Sample ROMs are weird in many games. Is this related to the above ?
  • Proper YMF271 emulation (including FM-synthesis).
    
    
• Taito System-JC driver
  • Needs proper 68040 emulation. Adding this to the current M68K core may be rather difficult.
  • Try to hook up the MC68HC11 core.
    
    
• Konami ZR107/GTI Club/NWK-TR/Hornet drivers / Sega Model 2B driver
  • I really need to continue writing/porting the SHARC core at some point. The Konami games are annoying enough to use the DMA and IRQs of SHARC.
    
    
• SuperModel
  • This is mostly dependent on whether Bart and Stefano still have time and interest to work on it anymore. My progress on the MAME driver will definitely help with SuperModel as well.
