SimAnt: The Electronic Ant Colony

Maxis in their repertoire. SimCity wasn't enough for them, but they've added ants to the mix. You start with a uterus, which lays eggs. The ants hatch from them, and you need to give commands to them - to collect food, dig moves, protect the mate, and so on. Orient yourself on the ticker to successfully progress through the game.
