Mobius Evolution

Mobius Evolution is a large-scale modification of the classic "Sonic The Hedgehog" for the SEGA Genesis. What began as a simple level layout project evolved into a full-fledged new adventure, packed with innovative mechanics, challenging boss battles, and numerous secrets.

The story unfolds on the planet Mobius, where Sonic and Blaze the Cat are enjoying a peaceful vacation. Their rest is cut short by the sudden invasion of Dr. Eggman, who has once again begun turning innocent animals into his robotic army to enact his plans for world conquest. Now, the heroes must stop the villain and rescue their friends.

Players can choose between two characters: the supersonic Sonic the Hedgehog or the fiery Blaze the Cat. A completely new gameplay experience awaits. All levels have been redesigned from the ground up—they are significantly longer, more intricate, and more difficult. The adventure's atmosphere is enhanced by an entirely new soundtrack, featuring high-quality ports of music from various classic video games.

In addition to visual and audio changes, the romhack introduces advanced technical modifications that make the gameplay deeper and more demanding of the player's skills. The developers have intentionally left many secrets and new moves for players to discover on their own while exploring every corner of the world.

The journey will take you through seven unique zones. You'll start in the scenic "Golden Nature" with its high-speed sections, dive into the "Uncharted Tide"—an aquatic temple filled with deadly traps—and face ghosts in the "Creepy Crypt." The neon lights of the "Neon Star" metropolis and the chaotic amusement park "Mad Parkland," complete with bumpers and pinball flippers, await you. At the end of your path, you must survive "Egg Hell," Dr. Robotnik's perilous industrial base, to reach the Final Zone.
