Hello i decided to ask for help with my fathers Sega Genesis Model 1. He has modded it in mid to late 90s he does not remember anymore during a region switch mod where he failed and it doesnt turn on since nor does he remember what exactly happened but he thinks it was a short on the Motherboard |

Update: Dad told me it was that during install he had to rub stuff off motherboard and that he rubbed too much off which caused this traces to go broken |

нет ли у кого подобной платы, чтоб сфотографировать эти самые jp что там и как там должно быть соединено? я этому моему буржуйскому товарищу объяснял что фотки надо качественные сделать, чтоб все понятно было. и маркировка и мелкие детали :) а он морозит. |

Для начала я бы восстановил соединение JP3 и JP4. Судя по фото там должны быть дорожки. В JP1 и JP4 дорожек нет. |

Для начала на положение перемычек можно забить. Там единственно важно не получить короткое замыкание. А поскольку коммутация идёт между землёй и питанием, это вполне возможно |

first clean all board with soft brush to remove all dust. then by knife clean tracks varnish. then solder wires. then cover it by new varhinsh (like green varhish, which need ultraviolet lamps to be frozen up). alcohol is any nice, just need clean alcohol. not a whiskey... and clean that place jp1, 2, 3, 4 to see what happen thear and make photo. clear and zoom. |

D: besides i still have 2 working Mega Drive Consoles still (Japanese Model 1 and PAL Model 2) so it isnt really that needed to resurrect only thing i honestly still need this board is due to its M68k CPU Chip tho i will attempt the Trace Repair before using it for Parts |

decided to update the Thread after long time so basically now i can get a Power on but no Picture at all and it is very confusing since i bridged JP2 and JP3 which are turn into PAL MD |

Heya :D Hope its fine to post again D: Just though itd post new Info on the Repair so basically Traces are all fixed now its just the Jumpers that give me Issues >.> Since its a PAL MD1 its JP2 and JP3 from what i read which i bridge but now its basically the issue that the TV still notices NTSC or PAL-M Video which is very weird as i am unsure how to fix it :(((( |
