Have you turned on SuperHQ? Here is a recording from a real megadrive (thanks to HardWareMan). Regen 0.93 Beta 2 sounds very close. ;)

В архиве 3 звука.
один из записи HardWareMan, другой из эмуляторов, третий из Regen.
Regen ближе к оригиналу чем у остальных эмуляторов, но все же он не такой.

You are comparing with Regen 0.93 Beta 1 which is inaccurate in this case. You should compare with Regen 0.93 Beta 2 ;) .

Название плагина нужно без расширения писать, например /директория_с_плагинами/hq2x

Thank you. It seems to be a Z80 interrupt problem. I will try to fix it.
EDIT:
Fixed it :) . As I suspected, it was a Z80 timing problem.

AamirM, thanks for your work and for emulator! I hope your emulator becomes the best! Now I found one bug. Check out sounds in Mortal Kombat II. Shao Kahn's sounds like "FIGHT", "OUTSTANDING" etc and hits sounds plays a little faster than they have to.

This track requires SSG-EG which Fusion 3 is not emulating at all in the recording you posted. If I disable SSG-EG in Regen then it sounds like Fusion 3. But maybe Regen is not emulating correctly too.
