endianness and the bus width internal to memory.c, and also added a
new axis to support small/large address spaces, which allows for

Provided methods for most global memory operations within the new
address_space class. Updated callers to use these instead of the

Created new module delegate.h which implements C++ delegates in a form
that works for MAME. Details are in the opening comment. Delegates
allow member functions of certain classes to be used as callbacks,
which will hopefully be the beginning of the end of fetching the
driver_data field in most callbacks. All classes that host delegates
must derive from bindable_object. Today, all devices and driver_data

Added an alternate set of address map macros. Now, if you #define
ADDRESS_MAP_MODERN prior to #including "emu.h", you will get the new

Defined delegates for read/write handlers. The new delegates are
always passed an address_space reference, along with offset, data, and
mask. Delegates can refer to methods either in the driver_data class
or in a device class. To specify a delegate in an address map, you
must #define ADDRESS_MAP_MODERN before including emu.h, at which
point the AM_READ/AM_WRITE macros will require member function pointers
into your driver_data class. Delegates that are specified in an address 
map are proto-delegates which have no object; they are bound to their 
object when the corresponding address_space is created. [Aaron Giles]

Added machine->m_nonspecific_space which can be passed as the required
address_space parameter to the new read/write methods in legacy
situations where the space is not provided. Eventually this can go

De-converted MACHINE_DRIVER from tokens back to constructor functions,
regaining type safety. If legacy devices still use inline data, those
types are not checked. However, new devices no longer have access to
the generic m_inline_data. Instead their MDRV_* macros should map to
calls to static functions in the device config class which downcast a
generic device_config to the specific device config, and then set the
appropriate values. This is not to be done inline in order to prevent
further code bloat in the constructors. See

    nothing on your system, this release is for you.

  - Setup screen:

    - New and improved file selector. See the man page for details.

    - Pathnames now shortened by using "." and "~" when appropriate and
      then abbreviated to fit the screen. Any non-ASCII and control
      characters are percent-encoded.

    - New "CWD" parameter to change directories from within Xeuphoric.
      The name passed to CLOAD and CSAVE is relative to the current
      working directory.

    - Diskette emulation: labels shortened to make room for pathnames.
      The write-protect status of a virtual diskette is now indicated by
      an "RO" or "RW" label on the right. Only allow diskette image
      selection if diskette emulation is enabled.

  - Sound: handle OSS ioctl() errors more gracefully (essentially, warn
    and proceed).

  - Sound: got rid of the loud noise spikes during silent periods by
    configuring /dev/dsp for 8-bit signed PCM (instead of unsigned) and
    halving the output amplitude. The underruns are still heard when
    sound is playing or one or more outputs of the 8912 are held high
    (tone generator disabled for channel but non-zero channel volume).

  - Sound: fixed a bug in the 8912 emulation which caused noise to turn
    on and off every minute or so. (2**32 / 1E6 / 16 / 4 = 67 s ?)

  - Video: default zoom factor is now 2.

  - Video: new xeuphoricrc variable ColourScheme which can be set from
    xeuphoricrc or interactively from the setup screen. See the man page
    for details.

  - Video: new compile-time option CELL8X8 (see the makefile) to render
    8 pixels per byte instead of 6. Messes up the hires screen.

  - Video: fixed fatal BadAlloc errors in XShm_Attach when running on a
    remote display by substituting explicit XSync(3) calls for
    XSynchronize(3). I'm not sure what XSynchronize() really does, but
    it's not as simple as the man page suggests.

  - xeuphoricrc: removed the ability to change UI messages from inside
    xeuphoricrc. ^[0-9][0-9]= lines in xeuphoricrc are now ignored.

  - xeuphoricrc: line endings in default xeuphoricrc converted from DOS
    (CR LF) to Unix (LF).

  - xeuphoricrc: improved the parsing code. Trailing tabs are now
    ignored. Read errors and lines too long to fit in the buffer are now
    caught and cause Xeuphoric to exit with a non-zero status.

  - Misc: many (but not all) pathname buffers enlarged from 256 or less
    to PATH_MAX.

  - Misc: more unfinished, broken xeuphoric-ng code.

Well it is time isn't it. After the crazy night with hlide's updates it is time to release a new version of pcsp!
Most interesting aspects of this release are :
-Plenty fixes on GE engine including new shader render.
-Joystic support!
-Analog pad support
-Lot of fixes to HLE
and of course some more games appears to be playable.

iMAME4all

iMAME4all is a iOS universal app done by David Valdeita (Seleuco), port of MAME 0.37b5 emulator by Nicola Salmoria & TEAM for all jailbroken iOS devices (iPad HD, iPhone 4G , iPod touch and older) and it is based on GP2X, WIZ MAME4ALL 2.5 by Franxis.

It emulates arcade games supported by original MAME 0.37b5 plus some additional games from newer MAME versions.

This version emulates over 2000 different romsets.

Please, try to understand that that with that amount of games, some will run better than others and some might not even run with iMAME4all. Please, don´t email me asking for a specific game to run.

Although the performance is very good with modern devices (all games I tested on iPad run practically perfect), owners of older devices should not expect a good performance; please turn off sound because that's very helpful.

After installing, place your MAME-titled zipped roms in /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/iMAME4all/roms folder.

Please use "clrmame.dat" file included in /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/iMAME4all to convert romsets from other MAME versions to the ones used by this version, using ClrMAME Pro utility, available in next webpage:

I am releasing everything for free, in keeping with the licensing MAME terms, which is free for non-commercial use only. This is strictly something I made because I wanted to play with it and have the skills to make it so. Что нового:
<ul>
 <li>Current renderer needs to go. I have a replacement of sorts prepared, as a part of software renderer project. I'm pretty sure it will be a bit slower but that remains to be seen. I need the new framework anyway to support both D3D9 and D3D11 at the same time.
 <li>SH4 recompiler could use some sort of abstraction layer to handle the optimizations better. Again, it'd probably end up being marginally slower but more manageable and could in future be paired with x64 emitter.
 <li>I'm going to drop support for non-SSE2 CPUs soon, mostly because it'd be easier to code the new recompiler. Quite frankly any CPU without SSE2 is not going to be fast enough to handle Makaron anyway.
 <li>Windows XP and Direct3D 9 support is going to stay for now but once D3D11 renderer starts working properly I will focus mostly on that. While I realize that droping DX9 will upset XP users, I'd like to point out that Makaron always required a modern PC. I havent introduced any major changes lately but before that Makaron was the first Dreamcast emulator to require shaders, then it would work only with Shader Model 2 or higher. In return you got faster palletized texture support, shadows and fogging. Now it's going to be DirectX 11 :)
